Analytics Glossary

1:1 Meetings – Meetings between users scheduled ahead of time, for which there is a designated host (often an exhibitor) and at least one attendee. Pre-scheduled (non-session) meetings between users can host up to nine people.
Access Group – The group(s) to which a user has been assigned in the Attendee page, which can give extra access to content like top menus, resources, locations, and sessions.
Activities Score – The score assigned to each attendee based on their activities. Point counts can be customized for each activity by assigning a weight of 0 to 5.
Consumption Activities – Refers to activities that are passive and do not require interaction, such as watching a session or visiting a booth.
Interaction Activities – Refers to activities in which attendees must communicate with others such as exhibitors or other attendees.
Activity Totals – Totals of various attendee-level activities, taking the exclusion list into account.
# Attendees who updated their profile at least once – Attendees who made any changes to their profile using the Edit Profile menu.
# Attendees with profile photo – Attendees who have a profile photo, either added themselves or uploaded through an import by venue admins.
# Private messages – The number of messages sent between attendees during the event.
# Downloads – The number of resources downloaded.
# Items saved – The number of items attendees clicked the star icon to Follow, like a speaker, exhibitor, or attendee.
API – Stands for Application Programming Interface. Engagez offers several APIs to allow third parties to add or retrieve content or user analytics from the system. For Example, many of our customers use remote registration API to integrate their registration system with Engagez, funneling new attendees into the platform in real-time. A further explanation of API can be found here.
Attendees – Any user who has signed in and entered the venue at least once, regardless of their role status as Admins, Contributors, or Members. (In the Attendees page of the Administer menu, “Attendees” refers to any user who can enter the venue while it is open, whether the attendee was imported, registered, or manually added by an Admin.)
Unique Attendees – The number of unique individuals, signed in and entered the venue at least once, within a specified time period.
Amount Paid – The amount an attendee paid for their ticket, based on the price of the ticket. To integrate ticket purchasing into your Engagez registration, you must have a PayPal Business Account.
Chat – Use of the Chat feature in Engagez, made up of only one-on-one written communication within the platform. This does not include Messages, which also are sent to users’ emails.
Clicked Thru (Resource) – This metric only applies to link and not file resources and implies the user clicked on the link and opened the destination page in a new browser tab.
Conversion (Rate) – The number of Attendees (those that entered the venue) divided by the number of Registrants (those that registered for the event, either by self-registering or through an import).
Coupon – The coupon, if any, used by an attendee to register for the event. Coupons can be created and modified on the Registration / Sign In page.
External ID – Refers to a unique identifier for each user, passed into Engagez through an API or Import. This helps Admins tie attendees in Engagez to their external registration records.
Group Chat – The group chat box available to any Attendee that enters an Exhibit, Collaboration Room, or venue-level page. This box can be added separately in the Group Chat panel or as a tab in the Interaction panel.
Hall Item – Refers to Exhibits, Collaboration Rooms or Offices. The most commonly used hall item is an Exhibit, which contains Staff, Resources, and Sessions specific to that booth.
Inquiries – Refers to Attendees who clicked the “Submit an Inquiry” button in an exhibit booth and filled out the inquiry form. This is often used by Attendees to request a demo or ask about pricing.
Last Attendance Date – The most recent date on which a user logged into the venue.
Leads – Attendees that entered an Exhibit are considered Leads. The extent to which they interacted with the booth’s content is listed in each column with Y(es) and N(o) designations—indicating the attendee did or did not interact with the content.
Message – A message sent in the Messages area or by clicking on another attendees business card and clicking on Message. The contents of a message are logged internally under Messages with the complete copy of the message emailed to the user. The recipient must log back into the venue to respond.
Payment Account – The email associated with a user’s ticket purchase on PayPal.
Private/Public Q&A – Whether the question or comment posed by the user in the Q&A tab of the session was shared publically or just to the session speakers and moderators.
Registrants – Users who registered for the event. In the Analytics, this refers to anyone added as an attendee through any Source (see “Source” below).
Report on Attendee – A breakdown of an individual user’s actions in the venue.
Role – The user’s role at the venue level – Member, Contributor, or Admin.
Search Facets – The common thread between attendees who used the search function. For instance, this panel will show that the most common similarity among attendees who searched in the Search and Discover feature was their title, with 17 users with the title Executive Director using the search function.
Search Panel – The panel from which they used the search button, such as the Social Lounge panel or the Search and Discover panel. (The latter is the main search function in the top right of the venue. This can be turned off and on in Features.)
Session ID – The unique identifier for the session, either added in an import, or assigned automatically when a session is created. Admins can adjust the Session ID by going to Sessions > Edit Session > Advanced
Source – The source of each attendee’s registration.
Admin Created – An Engagez admin added a user individually to Engagez.
Imported – The user was added to the venue via a batch import.
Remote via API – A user has registered via a third party registration software such as Cvent or Eventbrite, connected to Engagez through API integration.
Online – A user has registered via a registration form created within the Engagez venue.
Staff Interaction – A transcript of all chats between Exhibitor Staff (listed as Staff in the booth’s Attendee page) and Attendees.
Ticket – The ticket name with which the attendee registered if the registration form and ticket types were created through Engagez.
Ticket ID – The unique identifier for the ticket created in Engagez. Users who purchase the same ticket through an Engagez registration form will have the same ticket identifier associated with their registration.
Transaction ID – The unique identifier for the transaction when that user registered through an Engagez registration form and paid via PayPal.
User ID – The unique identifier for the user when that user registered through an Engagez registration form.
Viewed (Resource) – A user clicked on a resource, opening a pop-up. This does not indicate whether the resource was downloaded, expanded, or shared.
