Module 0: Front End Walkthrough
Welcome to Module 0: Frontend Walkthrough in our Engagez Fundamentals series. Follow along with our VP of Customer Success, Michael Doyle, as he walks us through basics of using the platform from an attendee perspective.
1. Registration Page
If you choose to enable a registration form, it will be one of the first things attendees see when entering the platform. It will sit on top of the venue entrance. It is customizable with multiple question types available, and it can also be integrated with PayPal so you can charge for tickets.

2. Entrance Page
The Entrance Page is the landing page for your venue. It can be completely customized to your event and can take on many different formats to support your brand. This is where attendees will sign in to the event before entering the platform. One sort of customization you can implement here is to either choose a photographic entrance page or a graphic entrance page. See the example page below.

3. Entering the Venue
Upon signing in, attendees will see the venue’s home page. Images or videos can serve as the venue’s background, mimicking an in-person conference. Sponsor banners and welcome videos can also overlay this background—creating a unique experience for every attendee.
From this starting point, an attendee has various options for navigating the venue. For example, you can include widgets that direct attendees to the calendar of sessions or links to a prize giveaway for the event.

The menu atop the lobby will guide attendees through the various paths.

4. The Sessions Hall
The Sessions Hall is where attendees can view all the different sessions and talks as they occur. Attendees can filter sessions by speaker, track, or day if the filter is enabled.

5. Attending a Session
Once attendees click Attend” or Watch, they will be brought to that specific session’s page, which will include the video and an Interaction panel. This panel can include a Group Chat for attendees to converse or ask questions during the session. Other interactive elements can be added like an About tab, a Slides tab, and a Survey tab.

6. Exhibit Hall and Exhibit Booths
The Exhibit Hall is where an attendee can view a list of the brands or companies showcased during the event. Once they click on a company’s logo, they will be taken to that company’s exhibit booth. Both the exhibit hall and the booth are completely customizable. For the booth, a company can choose to include the company logo, a description, a video, resources, staff members, a group chat, a visitor log, and social media links.

7. The Resource Center
The Resources page the venue’s hub for collecting all resources included in the booths and the sessions. This includes videos, PDFs, links, and more.

8. Forum
This area of the venue is where you can house an interactive space for people to get to know one another or the experts that spoke during the sessions. In the example below, this company chose to create an “Ask the Experts” forum in which attendees could ask questions of session speakers.
